For GamesTM issue 167, I wrote a Behind The Scenes feature on the Nintendo 64 game, Excitebike 64.

My first History of feature is in issue 142 of Retro Gamer and charts the progress of one of my favourite series of games.

For issue 140 of Retro Gamer magazine I wrote an Ultimate to the legendary arcade game Kung-Fu Master.

For issue 156 of GamesTM I wrote this look back at the PlayStation game Fear Effect. Developed by Kronos Entertainment, I interviewed several of the people behind the game in addition to Kronos founder Stanley Liu.

For issue 137 of Retro Gamer I compiled this look back at the quirky developer Automata.

Issue 134 of Retro Gamer contains an article I've been putting together for sometime. I've always been interested in the collecting angle of videogames, despite never being a big collector myself, and found myself fascinated by what impels collectors to spend a small fortune sometimes acquiring complete sets and such. I spoke to over 20 collectors for this article as well as an expert in what some would call hoarding to try and get to the bottom of it all!

After writing the Bluffers Guide to Football games for Retro Gamer magazine I decided to try my hand at cricket games.

This feature appeared in issue 121 of All Out Cricket magazine and is my first feature for this excellent cricket magazine.

My first Bluffers guide appears in issue 130 of Retro Gamer. It covers action-style football games from their pong-influenced beginnings to the modern game.

Issue 148 of GamesTM contains my Behind the Scenes look at this violent and fun clash of two iconic film properties.

There's no doubting the ambition of this game, and being based on one of the greatest sci-fi horror franchises of the last century doesn't do it any harm either.

My latest feature is one I've been wanting to write for ages, and this year's 35th anniversary gave me the perfect opportunity.

The Mattel Intellivision was my first games console so it holds a special place in my heart. I only ever owned ten games for it but have played many more since then.

In issue 127 of Retro Gamer is my archives feature on Crystal Computing / Design Design. They were a software house from the 80s that produced many technically amazing games such as Halls of the Things and Dark Star. The feature contains interviews with Crystal founder Ian Stamp, Graham Stafford and Simon Brattel.

After trying for months, I finally tracked down Richard Jones of Interceptor Software last year. The story of this early software house appeared in Retro Gamer issue 115.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mervyn Estcourt's classic I wrote this celebratory article for Retro Gamer issue 114.

This was actually the third article I wrote after Splat! and Incentive. It was finally published in Retro Gamer issue 114.
